1. In a communications network comprising an entity maintaining a subscriber profile for at least one subscriber, a method comprising:

  • Receiving from a user a message indicative of a service provided by the communications network; and

    Based on the message, responsively performing an action selected from the group consisting of (i) provisioning the subscriber profile to indicate that the at least one subscriber is entitled to invoke the service and (ii) provisioning the subscriber profile to indicate that the at least one subscriber is not entitled to invoke the service,Wherein provisioning the subscriber profile to indicate that the at least one subscriber is entitled to invoke the service includes adding in the subscriber profile a new record that designates the service, andWherein provisioning the subscriber profile to indicate that the at least on subscriber is not entitled to the service includes identifying from the message the at least one subscriber and a set of dialed digits, recognizing that the set of dialed digits correspond to the service, and modifying parameters of the subscriber profile to indicate that the at least one subscriber is not entitled to invoke the service by modifying a set of service logic so that the set of service logic is not operable to carry out the service indicated by the message.
