1. An ultraviolet (UV) curable lubricating composition for forming a coating on a substrate, the lubricating composition comprising:

  • at least one aliphatic acrylated oligomer, wherein the aliphatic acrylated oligomer is not an epoxy acrylate, a silicon acrylate, or a fluorinate acrylate;

    a PTFE composition in an amount of about 15% to 40% of the weight of the lubricating composition; and

    a photoinitiator;

    wherein the PTFE composition comprises PTFE powder particles with an average particle size from 0.3 μ

    m to 30 μ

    m and the lubricating composition does not contain any significant amount of volatile organic solvents that do not become incorporated in the coating after the composition is cured and wherein the density of the lubricating composition is from about 6 lb/gallon to about 16 lb/gallon.
