1. A fuel vapor recovery canister comprisingan elongated housing formed to include an inlet end, an exit end, and an interior region extending therebetween,a first carbon bed located in the interior region and positioned to lie in close proximity to the inlet end, anda second carbon bed located in the interior region and positioned to lie in close proximity to the exit end and in spaced-apart relation to the first carbon bed to form a fuel vapor/air mixing chamber interposed between the first and second carbon beds to mix fuel vapor admitted into the elongated housing through the inlet end and discharged from the first carbon bed with atmospheric air provided in the fuel vapor/air mixing chamber after admission into the elongated housing through the exit end and discharge from the second carbon bed to produce a flow of fuel vapor passing into and through the second carbon bed and flowing toward the exit end.
