A cyclonic separating apparatus comprising a plurality of cyclones provided in parallel, the cyclones each having a first end, a second end and a longitudinal axis, an inlet being located at the first end for introducing a fluid flow into each cyclone, a cone opening being located at the second end,wherein at least part of the cone opening lies in a plane inclined at an angle to the longitudinal axis.
