1. One or more computer-readable media having computer-useable instructions embodied thereon for performing a method of deduplicating status indications in a communications network, the method comprising:

  • receiving a first instance of a first status indication from a communications network resource;

    receiving a plurality of subsequent instances of the first status indication;

    determining that the plurality of subsequent instances of the first status indication are duplicates of the first instance;

    preventing the plurality of subsequent instances of the first status indication from ripening into alarm notifications;

    receiving a second status indication that stems from the same problem that generated said first status indication; and

    storing respective timestamps of said first status indication and said second status indication.
