1. An audio apparatus comprising:
- a converter having a sound-output mode in which the converter functions as a sound-output device for converting a sound signal into an audio output and a sound-pickup mode in which the converter functions as a sound-pickup device for converting an audio input into a sound signal;
control means for switching the converter to the sound-output mode or the sound-pickup mode;
analyzing means for analyzing the sound signal generated by the converter when it is switched to the sound-pickup mode by the control means; and
a human sensor for determining a presence of a person in a vicinity of the audio apparatus,wherein the control means switches the converter to the sound-pickup mode when no presence is determining by the human sensor; and
alarm means for generating an alarm signal based on an analysis result from the analyzing means.
