1. An ink supply mechanism for a disposable camera printing system having a printhead with a series of holes etched in a back surface thereof for the supply of ink to a front surface of the printhead for subsequent ejection onto print media stored on a roll housed in the camera, the mechanism comprising:

  • a cartridge for supplying ink to the printhead, the cartridge having elongate top and bottom molding pieces operatively engaged in a complementary manner to define a plurality of elongate ink reservoirs, said bottom molding piece supporting the printhead and having guide walls and block portions for arranging the ink reservoirs in fluid communication with the series of holes; and

    a platen for guiding the print media under the printhead, the platen having a base with a pinch roller and a cutting mechanism attached thereto, the cutting mechanism having a cutting wheel operatively running on a threaded rod to cut the media from the roll.
