1. An organic molybdenum complex comprising the reaction product of:

  • (i) an alkylphenol chosen from p-octylphenol, p-heptylphenol, p-nonylphenol, p-dodecylphenol, and 2,4-dialkylated phenols, and mixtures thereof, each of which may be further substituted with at least one of halogen, hydroxyl, nitro, amino, alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl groups;

    (ii) a formaldehyde source;

    (iii) an N-hydroxyethyl substituted diamine chosen from 2-(2-aminoethylannino) ethanol, aminopropyldiethanolamine, aminoethyldiethanolamine, and mixtures thereof; and

    (iv) a molybdenum source, wherein said molybdenum source is molybdenum trioxide, wherein the N-hydroxyethyl substituted diamine is reacted with the alkylphenol at a molar ratio ranging from 1;
