1. A device for displaying three-dimensional images comprising:

  • an image display surface, wherein this image display surface emits or reflects light to display an image comprised of multiple small image elements, andan array of spinning microlenses, wherein each spinning microlens redirects light rays from one or more small image elements, wherein light rays exiting a spinning microlens define a conic or conic-section space over time, and wherein the image contents displayed by small image elements are coordinated with the movement of the spinning microlenses, through which those image contents are directed, to form a pattern of light rays with the proper content and directionality so as to create perception of three-dimensional images.
