1. A method for configuring stimulation pulses in an implantable stimulator device having a plurality of electrodes, comprising:

  • determining a set of pulses for patient therapy, wherein at least two of the pulses are of the same polarity;

    reconstructing each of the at least two pulses into corresponding fractionalized pulses, wherein each fractionalized pulse is comprised of pulse portions; and

    applying the at least two fractionalized pulses to corresponding electrodes on the implantable stimulator device during a final duration, wherein the pulse portions of one fractionalized pulse are not simultaneously applied with the pulse portions of another of the fractionalized pulses during the final duration.
