1. A plasma display panel, comprising:

  • a first substrate and a second substrate opposing one another with a gap therebetween;

    address electrodes on the second substrate;

    barrier ribs between the first substrate and the second substrate, the barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells and a plurality of non-discharge regions;

    a red phosphor layer, a green phosphor layer, and a blue phosphor layer within respective discharge cells; and

    discharge sustain electrodes on the first substrate in a direction intersecting the address electrodes,wherein the non-discharge regions are in areas encompassed by discharge cell abscissas through centers of adjacent discharge cells and discharge cell ordinates through centers of adjacent discharge cells, the non-discharge regions being at least as large as distal ends of the barrier ribs forming the discharge cells,wherein color compensating members have a coloration corresponding to a color having a lowest brightness ratio among the red phosphor layer, the green phosphor layer and the blue phosphor layer, the color compensating members being at areas corresponding to locations of the non-discharge regions, between the first substrate and the second substrate.
