1. A device for monitoring blood flow in a blood vessel, the device comprising:

  • a pair of electrodes to be disposed in the blood vessel such that each electrode is in communication with the blood flow to electromagnetically measure the blood flow via a voltage induced across the pair of electrodes by the blood flow; and

,a structure to be disposed in the blood vessel and having an inductance directly coupled to the pair of electrodes to wirelessly provide an indication of the induced voltage, wherein the structure and the pair of electrodes combine to form a passive assembly to passively provide the indication of the induced voltage to an external receiver inductively coupled to the structure, wherein the structure and the pair of electrodes have a planar configuration when in a non-deployed position.
