1. A device for delivering a fluid into a flexible biological barrier, the device comprising a fluid delivery interface including:

  • (a) a first surface;

    (b) at least one microneedle projecting from said first surface and terminating at a penetrating tip;

    (c) a fluid flow bore extending through each microneedle; and

    (d) a contact surface deployed at an angle of no more than 150 degrees to said first surface as measured internally within said fluid delivery interface,wherein said at least one microneedle is arranged with its penetrating tip adjacent to a plane of said contact surface such that, in use, when said contact surface is placed in contact with a biological barrier and moved with a component of motion parallel to said biological barrier towards said first surface, said at least one microneedle penetrates into a region of said biological barrier adjacent to, but not overlaid by, said fluid delivery interface.
