1. A system for connecting a fluid medication reservoir to a medication pump housing, comprising:
- a housing engagement interface adapted to be inserted into a corresponding opening in the medication pump housing;
a connector disposed at a first end of the housing engagement interface, wherein the connector comprises a cavity;
an external needle, wherein the needle can be secured and unsecured from the connector and is adapted to draw fluid from a supply vial;
a housing engagement member disposed on the exterior of the housing engagement interface, wherein the housing engagement member is adapted to engage the medication pump housing;
a first tab disposed at the first end of the housing engagement interface so as to provide a first surface for a user to grip and twist the housing engagement interface to rotatably engage or disengage the housing engagement member within the opening of the medication pump housing, wherein the housing engagement interface is configured to at least partially fit inside the opening of the medication pump housing;
a cylindrical fluid medication reservoir disposed at a second end of the housing engagement interface to store the fluid drawn from the supply vial, wherein the housing engagement member is disposed on the housing engagement interface so that the cylindrical fluid medication reservoir is disposed within the opening of the medication pump housing when the housing engagement interface is operatively engaged with the medication pump housing; and
infusion set tubing, wherein the infusion set tubing can be secured and unsecured from the connector and is adapted to allow the fluid to flow from the cylindrical fluid medication reservoir through the infusion set tubing to the user.
