1. An apparatus for receiving a broadcast signal, the apparatus comprising:

  • a receiver configured to receive the broadcast signal including a transmission frame comprising data groups,wherein each data group includes mobile service data, known data sequences, and signaling data comprising transmission parameters for signaling the mobile service data,wherein the data groups are transmitted during slots,wherein each of the slots is a time period for multiplexing the mobile service data and a main service data,wherein sixteen slots are included in a sub frame and five sub frames are included in the transmission frame, andwherein a first portion of the transmission parameters includes signaling data for a current transmission frame and a second portion of the transmission parameters includes signaling data for a next transmission frame;

    a known data detector configured to detect at least one of the known data sequences in the received broadcast signal;

    an equalizer configured to channel-equalize the received mobile service data using at least one of the known data sequences; and

    a decoder configured to extract audio data and scale factor index information from the channel-equalized mobile service data and inversely scale the extracted audio data on the basis of a scale factor indicated by the scale factor index information to restore an audio signal.
