1. A graphical user interface (GUI) composed of N identifiable fields instantiated by computer software stored in a memory of a computer system and configured to perform a method, the method comprising:
- generating M files from data entered into selected ones of the N identifiable fields;
wherein the selected ones of the N identifiable fields that accept data are determined responsive to data entered into a first predetermined one of the N identifiable fields;
wherein each of the M files generated is composed of a subset NJ (where J is an integer that ranges from 1 to M) of filled identifiable fields N such that, for each NJ, NJ is a subset of N and members for each of the subsets NJ are determined in response to data entered into the first predetermined one of the N identifiable fields;
wherein a format of each of the M files is determined in response to the data entered into the first predetermined one of the N identifiable fields;
wherein at least two of the M files have different members or at least two of the M files have different formats; and
wherein both N and M are integers greater than 1.

Abstract
Systems and methods for processing textual messages which are integrated with one or more digital attachments is described. These systems and methods are useful in the electronic filing and processing of, for example, image data, and of textual data associated with the image data. One particular application of these systems and methods would be for the electronic filing and processing of dental x-rays with patient claim forms.

45. A graphical user interface (GUI) composed of N identifiable fields instantiated by a first computer software application in memory of a first computer system and configured to perform a method, the method comprising:

generating multiple transactions in a set of second computer software applications on one or more other computer systems, the set of second computer software applications containing R computer software applications and having at least one member which is distinct from the first computer software application, in response to data being entered into selected ones of the N identifiable fields; wherein the selected ones of the N identifiable fields that accept data are determined responsive to text entered into a first predetermined one of the N identifiable fields; and once the fields that will accept data have been filled, executing R transactions by the instantiating first computer software application, wherein a Jth transaction, of the set of R transactions, comprises entering the data in a subset NJ (where J is an integer that ranges from 1 to R) of the filled selected ones of the N identifiable fields to fields in a Jth member of the second set of R computer software applications; wherein each of the subsets NJ is determined by the data entered into the first predetermined field of the N identifiable fields; wherein at least two of the subsets NJ each contain at least one filled selected ones of the N identifiable fields, but wherein one or more of the subsets NJ may contain the null set; wherein R is an integer greater than 1; and wherein the R transactions are executed without having to manually enter data into the R disparate computer software applications when the data was already entered into the GUI. - View Dependent Claims (47, 48)

49. A computer system configured by software to execute a method, the computer system comprising:

memory, wherein stored in the memory is information specifying, for each of M recipients, a file format, selected from a set of F file formats, to be applied to a computer file that is to be transmitted to that recipient, and wherein M is an integer equal to or greater than two and F is an integer equal to or greater than two; wherein the method comprises; receiving, from a source external to the computer system, an electronic communication comprising data in data fields; generating M computer files, wherein each of the M computer files is associated with a respective one of the M recipients; copying into each of the M computer files data from at least one of the data fields of the electronic communication; formatting each computer file of the M computer files in accordance with the file format specified in the memory for the recipient associated with that computer file; and transmitting the M computer files to their associated recipients. - View Dependent Claims (50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59)
