1. A method for providing access to information, comprising:

  • monitoring user access to primary information via a primary device;

    extracting and analyzing data from metadata sources for the primary information, to obtain key information including a plurality of keywords;

    displaying the plurality of keywords on the primary device;

    receiving a selection of one or more particular keywords from the displayed keywords;

    obtaining supplementary information related to the primary information based on the selected keywords;

    placing the supplementary information in a particular storage location on the primary device;

    receiving, at a web server located on the primary device, a periodic poll from a supplementary device via a listening function, wherein the primary device cannot communicate with the supplementary device but the supplementary device can communicate with the primary device; and

    providing, from the web server, the supplementary information from the particular storage location to the supplementary device in response to the periodic poll, alone with a user interface generated by the web server to display on the supplementary device, the supplementary device including a browser capable of displaying the generated user interface and media player for user access, wherein the user interface is generated by the supplementary device, and the supplemental information comprising extracted structured and unstructured data from an external network.
