1. A fluid cartridge, comprising:
- a housing including a substantially cylindrical side wall and an end wall and defining a longitudinal axis and an internal volume;
a needle that extends from the end wall and is not movable relative to the end wall; and
a plurality of substantially flat electrically conductive sensible members that are not electrically connected to power that flows through other electrically conductive structure on the housing, that are mounted directly on the housing end wall such that each of the sensible members is offset from the other sensible members in a circumferential direction that extends around the longitudinal axis and that are separated from one another by electrically non-conductive regions.

12. An apparatus for use with an epidermis, comprising:

a fluid cartridge including a housing with a substantially cylindrical side wall and an end wall, a needle extending from the housing end wall, and at least one sensible member mounted directly on the housing end wall; and a partially implantable medical device including a percutaneous port configured to receive the fluid cartridge such that at least a portion of the fluid cartridge housing extends through the epidermis and to permit the fluid cartridge to be rotated from outside the percutaneous port and to be removed from the epidermis independently of the percutaneous port, an implantable operative portion including a fluid transfer device, and a sensor for sensing the at least one sensible member. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25)
