1. A flow-through fluid reservoir comprising:

  • a body having an internal wall defining a chamber and a first fluid port in fluid communication with the chamber;

    a movable member sized to sealingly engage the internal wall and being movable within the chamber toward and away from the first fluid port so as to respectively decrease and increase a volume of the chamber, the movable member having a fluid path therethrough in fluid communication with the first fluid port;

    an actuator operatively coupled in fixed spatial relationship to the movable member, the body and actuator being movable relative to each other in telescoping relationship so as to move the movable member toward and away from the first fluid port, the actuator having a second fluid port in fluid communication with the fluid path of the movable member, whereby fluid can flow between the first and second fluid ports;

    a shaped slot defined on one of the body and the actuator; and

    a projection defined on the other of the body and the actuator, the projection cooperating with the shaped slot to constrain relative movement of the body and the actuator along a path corresponding to the shaped slot.
