Abstract

The invention provides proteins from Neisseria meningitidis, including the amino acid sequences and the corresponding nucleotide sequences. The proteins are predicted to be useful antigens for vaccines and/or diagnostics.

Claims

1. A purified polypeptide comprising:

(a) a fragment of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO;

2534, wherein the fragment comprises 18 or more consecutive amino acids from the amino acid sequence, or (b) an amino acid sequence having at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO;

2. The purified polypeptide of claim 1 comprising the fragment, wherein the fragment comprises 20 or more consecutive amino acids from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:

3. The purified polypeptide of claim 1 comprising (b), wherein the amino acid sequence has at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:

4. The purified polypeptide of claim 3, in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

5. The purified polypeptide of claim 2, in further combination with an adjuvant.

6. The purified polypeptide of claim 2, in further combination with a pH buffering agent.

7. The purified polypeptide of claim 2, wherein the fragment is an immunogenic fragment of SEQ ID NO:
