1. A device for enhancement of visual perception in a viewer with binocular vision of a physical scene comprising:

  • (a) at least one obstructor positioned to the front of and in the visual field of view of the dominant eye of the viewer, distal to the center of the iris of the dominant eye, that obstructs a segment of said visual field that is at least partially in the visual field of view of the non-dominant eye of the viewer, and(b) at least one image element positioned in the visual field of view of the non-dominant eye of the viewer, distal to the center of the iris of the non-dominant eye, that is not within the visual field of view of the dominant eye of the viewer;

    so that the viewer'"'"'s visual system gives greater attention to the retinal image of the viewer'"'"'s non-dominant eye than when viewed without the device, whereby the viewer'"'"'s perception of depth and/or perception of clarity in the physical scene is intensified.
