1. An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle, said interior rearview mirror assembly comprising:

  • a mirror head, wherein said mirror head comprises an electrochromic reflective mirror element;

    a mirror mount, wherein said mirror mount is configured for attaching said interior rearview mirror assembly at an attachment element that is attached at an interior surface of a windshield of a vehicle equipped with said interior rearview mirror assembly;

    wherein, with said mirror mount attached at the attachment element, said reflective mirror element has a field of view rearward of the equipped vehicle;

    wherein said interior rearview mirror assembly includes a pivot joint enabling a driver of the equipped vehicle to pivotally adjust said mirror head to set the rearward field of view of said reflective mirror element to the driver'"'"'s desired setting with said interior rearview mirror assembly attached at the attachment element;

    wherein said interior rearview mirror assembly comprises a portion that does not adjust when the driver of the equipped vehicle, with said interior rearview mirror assembly attached at the attachment element, pivotally adjusts said mirror head to set the rearward field of view of said reflective mirror element to the driver'"'"'s desired setting;

    wherein said pivot joint comprises a ball and a socket, and wherein one of said ball and said socket is disposed at said mirror head;

    wherein said interior rearview mirror assembly includes circuitry;

    wherein at least a part of said circuitry is accommodated within said mirror head;

    wherein at least two electrical accessories of said interior rearview mirror assembly share at least one component of said circuitry;

    wherein said portion includes said mirror mount; and

    wherein said portion comprises a CMOS-based camera, and wherein said CMOS-based camera, with said interior rearview mirror assembly normally mounted in the equipped vehicle, has a field of view through a windshield of the equipped vehicle.
