1. A method for detecting stress in a subject, said method comprising:

  • said subject having a periorbital region;

    optimizing the subject'"'"'s temperature range to resolve only temperatures outside said periorbital region;

    identifying a limited temperature range to establish a baseline for thermal values tailored to the subject to enable visualization of thermal changes in the subject;

    establishing thermal thresholds based on said baseline;

    displaying breaches outside said thresholds;

    displaying the temperature values of said breaches;

    adjusting said limited temperature range based on the unique temperature characteristics of the subject;

    displaying a spectrum of different colors corresponding respectively to specific narrow temperature variations in regions selected from the cheeks, ears, forehead and neck or a combination thereof;

    displaying selected color variations based on an audio waveform of the subject;

    displaying the color spectrum of a predetermined pixel in an infrared video display;

    varying a timeline of the combined audio waveform and infrared video image;

    comparing the colors of the audio waveform and the infrared video image of said pixel at a particular point in time; and

    changing the audio waveform color to track the color variations of said pixel infrared video image.
