- detecting an event in a multi-component information technology system;
identifying two or more information technology (IT) managers having an interest in the event;
presenting to each IT manager information relating to the impact of the event on a management area of each IT manager;
creating an interactive collaboration mechanism among the two or more IT managers; and
providing access to the collaboration mechanism to the identified IT managers having an interest in the event;
wherein a first IT manager is a business activity manager and the information provided to the business activity manager relates to a business impact of the event, wherein a second IT manager is a systems manager and the information provided to the systems manager relates to a system impact of the event, and wherein a third IT manager is a network manager and the information provided to the network manager relates to a network impact of the event; and
wherein the identifying the two or more IT managers having an interest in the event comprises;
monitoring activities of the two or more IT managers; and
correlating the monitored activities to the event.
