1. An injection device comprising:

  • a first volume for accommodating a product for administration, a piston for acting upon the product within the first volume, and a stopper disposed between an end of the piston facing the product and the product within the first volume, a second volume being defined between the stopper and the end of the piston facing the product, wherein the piston comprises a piston head configured such that when the piston is advanced in an administration direction, fluid outflow is permitted from the second volume in a direction generally opposite the administration direction and wherein the piston head is separate from the stopper such that a negative pressure or vacuum region can be developed in the second volume.
