1. A system comprising:

  • an instrument glove configured to be manipulatable in a plurality of degrees of freedom in a three dimensional space;

    an actuator coupled to the instrument glove and configured to output a haptic feedback force;

    a processor configured to run an application to display a graphical representation of at least a portion of a subject at a remote location;

    a sensor coupled to the instrument glove and the processor, the sensor configured to sense a position of at least the instrument glove and provide a sensor signal to the processor associated with the sensed position,wherein the processor is configured to;

    generate a command signal based on the sensor signal,transmit the command signal to a remote device at the remote location, the command signal configured to cause the remote device to move in a manner based on the command signal and with respect to the subject at the remote location,receive a response signal from the remote device, the response signal comprising parameters describing pressures or forces sensed by the remote device, andtransmit an actuator signal to the actuator, the actuator signal based at least in part on the response signal.
