1. A finishing attachment for a tillage implement, said finishing attachment comprising:

  • a lateral support bar configured for attachment to a rear of said tillage implement and having a front side and a rear side with respect to the direction of travel of the attachment during use; and

    a plurality of soil leveling assemblies coupled to said lateral support bar along a length of the bar,wherein each of said soil leveling assemblies includes independently rotatable, first and second chopper wheels,wherein each of said chopper wheels includes a plurality of laterally extending leveling blades spaced circumferentially about an axis of rotation of the wheel,wherein the axes of rotation of said first and second independently rotatable chopper wheels are skewed relative to one another in such a manner that rear portions of said first and second chopper wheels mutually converge rearwardly whereby the soil leveling assemblies level out and chop up mounds of soil otherwise left behind by the implement.
