1. A suspended light fixture, comprising:

  • a first light source having a first optical axis;

    a second light source having a second optical axis; and

    a lightguide comprising an optical material that forms;

    a first surface operable to receive light from the first light source;

    a second surface different from and abutting the first surface, a surface normal of the second surface being substantially vertical when the light fixture is suspended;

    a third surface different from and abutting the second surface, different from the first surface, and operable to receive light from the second light source, wherein the second surface is disposed between the first surface and the third surface; and

    a fourth surface abutting the first and third surfaces, and in facing opposition to the second surface;

    at least one light extraction region optically coupled to a first portion of one of the second surface and the fourth surface of the lightguide;

    a substantially non-scattering region comprising substantially non-scattering surface portions of each of the second surface and the fourth surface, each of the non-scattering surface portions abutting both the first surface and the third surface, and being in facing opposition to one another, with a substantially non-scattering portion of the optical material of the lightguide therebetween, wherein the light extraction region is surrounded by the non-scattering region, whereinthe non-scattering region forms a planar portion adjacent to each of the first and third surfaces, and contains the light received through the first and third surfaces by total internal reflection at the second and fourth surfaces, andat least one of the second surface, the fourth surface and the optical material disrupts the total internal reflection in the light extraction region such that light is emitted outwardly from both the second and fourth surfaces, the second and fourth surfaces being curved within at least part of the light extraction region.
