1. A system for displaying telematics data to a driver of a vehicle, the system comprising:

  • a computer memory storing data indicative of telematics data received from a sensor within a vehicle, the telematics data comprising geo-position information of the vehicle and vehicle kinematics data; and

    a processor in communication with the memory, wherein the processor is configured for;

    identifying, based on the stored telematics data received from the sensor within the vehicle, safety events involving the vehicle, the safety events comprising one or more of deceleration above a threshold, acceleration above a threshold, turning above a threshold, speeding above a threshold and lane change speed above a threshold, and for each of the safety events involving the vehicle, locations of the safety events locations based on the data indicative of the telematics data,receiving data indicative of safety events associated with other drivers identified based on telematics data received from sensors within vehicles of the other drivers and locations of safety events identified based on telematics data received from sensors within the vehicles of the other drivers, andcausing to be displayed to the driver indications of the identified safety events involving the vehicle on a map display along with indications of one or more of the safety events associated with the other drivers.
