1. A method for collecting data associated with determining a position of user equipment, UE, comprising:

  • transmitting, by a serving eNodeB, eNB, positioning scheduling information to said UE, wherein said positioning scheduling information is used by said UE (604) to transmit at least one positioning signal;

    transmitting, by said serving eNB, said positioning scheduling information to a first set of cooperating eNBs, wherein said positioning scheduling information is used by said first set of cooperating eNBs to identify said at least one positioning signal and to mitigate interference associated with said at least one positioning signal;

    receiving, by said serving eNB, said at least one positioning signal; and

    receiving, by said serving eNB, information associated with reception of said at least one positioning signal by said first set of cooperating eNBs,wherein said positioning scheduling includes an intercell interference command which instructs said first set of eNBs to mitigate said interference associated with said at least one positioning signal.
