1. A customized patient-specific orthopaedic instrument for facilitating implantation of an acetabular cup prosthesis in a coxal bone of a patient, the customized patient-specific orthopaedic instrument comprising:

  • a customized patient-specific acetabular reaming guide comprising (i) a ring-shaped body having an inner surface defining a cylindrical passageway, (ii) a plurality of arms extending from the ring-shaped body, and (iii) a guide housing configured to be secured to the ring-shaped body, the guide housing having a second inner surface defining a longitudinal passageway sized to receive an acetabular reamer surgical tool,wherein (i) each of the ring-shaped body and the plurality of arms includes a bone-facing surface having a customized patient-specific negative contour configured to receive a corresponding positive contour of the patient'"'"'s coxal bone, and (ii) the cylindrical passageway defines a longitudinal axis that is oriented relative to the bone-facing surface of the ring-shaped body based on a predetermined version angle and a predetermined inclination angle of the acetabular cup prosthesis when implanted in the patient'"'"'s coxal bone.
