Abstract

There is provided a storage medium for use as a source of energy for vehicles. An exemplary storage medium comprises a data memory that stores information about the charge status of the storage medium. The exemplary storage medium also comprises a SIM card.

Claims

1. A storage medium for use as a source of energy for vehicles, the storage medium comprising:

a data memory that stores information about the charge status of the storage medium;

a SIM card; and

an authorization device configured to restrict transmitting information, and enable an authorized data transmission device to transmit information to the data memory.

2. The storage medium recited in claim 1, the data memory storing information about at least one location.

3. The storage medium recited in claim 1, the storage medium being connected to a wireless data transmission device.

4. The storage medium recited in claim 3, wherein the wireless data transmission device comprises a transponder.

5. A method of using a storage medium that stores energy for vehicles, the method comprising:

providing a storage medium that includes a data memory that stores information about the charge status of the storage medium;

providing a SIM card for the storage medium; and

providing an authorization device configured to restrict transmitting information, and to enable an authorized data transmission device to transmit information to the data memory.
