1. A system for facilitating hands-free communication in a vehicle using a portable electronic device, the system comprising:

  • an isolation area configured to be installed in a vehicle interior area, the isolation area housing a first circuit configured to receive pairing information from the portable electronic device via inductive-coupling between the portable electronic device and the first circuit upon the portable electronic device being brought to rest in a near field communication area inside the isolation area corresponding with an induction field of the first circuit;

    a hands-free communication module configured to control an RF transceiver configured to be installed in the vehicle, but outside of the isolation area, wherein the hands-free communication module is configured to establish a wireless communication link between the RF transceiver and the portable electronic device based on the received pairing information upon the portable electronic device being brought to rest in the near field communication area, wherein the received pairing information includes authentication data to establish the wireless communication link between the RF transceiver and the portable electronic device; and

    a jamming device configured to restrict the use of other portable electronic devices in the vehicle that are not placed in the isolation area, only when the vehicle is moving at highway speeds, wherein the jamming device does not restrict the use of the portable electronic device when the portable electronic device is in the isolation area.
