1. A method comprising:

  • producing at least one analog heat signal by at least one heat source of a device, wherein the at least one heat source includes a thermocouple junction, the at least one analog heat signal being detectable by at least one thermocouple junction of a stylus, wherein the device has a display and a temperature signal adjustment mechanism for increasing and decreasing temperature of the at least one analog heat signal, wherein the at least one heat source is one of positioned proximate to, or embedded in, the display;

    transmitting the at least one analog heat signal from the display of the device;

    receiving at least one input signal at the display from the stylus, wherein a parameter of the at least one input signal received from the stylus is based at least in part on the temperature of the at least one analog heat signal transmitted by the display; and

    generating at least one output at the display of the device, wherein a visual characteristic of the at least one output is determined based on the parameter of the at least one input signal received from the stylus.
