1. A system for controlling an actuating mechanism that adjusts one or more blinds, the system comprising:

  • a motor having a motor shaft configured to rotate about a first axis;

    a power source configured to power the motor;

    a first connector having a first feature configured to couple the first connector to the actuating mechanism, wherein the first connector is configured to rotate about the first axis when the motor shaft rotates around the first axis;

    a second connector having a second feature configured to couple the second connector to the motor, wherein the second connector is configured to rotate about the first axis; and

    a magnetic clutch comprising a first magnet coupled to the first connector and a second magnet coupled to the second connector, wherein the magnetic clutch is configured to cause the first connector and the second connector to rotate around the first axis when the one or more blinds are partially open and when the motor shaft rotates about the first axis, and wherein the magnetic clutch is further configured to prevent the first connector from rotating around the first axis and to permit the second connector to rotate around the first axis when the one or more blinds are fully open or fully closed and when the motor shaft rotates about the first axis.
