1. A method of controlling the transmission of wireless energy supplied to an electrically operable medical device implanted in a mammal patient, said wireless energy being transmitted by means of a primary coil in an external energy source located outside the patient and received inductively by means of a secondary coil in an internal energy receiver located inside the patient, the internal energy receiver being connected to the medical device for directly or indirectly supplying received energy thereto, the method comprising the steps of:

  • transferring feedback control information from the secondary coil to the primary coil by switching the secondary coil on and off to induce a detectable impedance load variation in the primary coil encoding the feedback control information, the feedback control information relating to the energy for operating the medical device, using the transferred feedback control information to control the transmission of wireless energy from the external energy source, andconsuming, storing or consuming and storing the energy after it has been stabilized in at least one energy stabilizing unit of the medical device, the wireless energy being first transmitted with a predetermined energy rate, and then transmitted based on an energy balance, which is determined by detecting the direction and rate of change in the current amount of accumulated energy in the at least one energy stabilizing unit, where the rate of change is direction and speed of change of the energy balance measured as energy in the stabilizing unit, repeating detecting the direction and speed of change in the current amount of accumulated energy in the at least one energy stabilizing unit intermittently at certain intervals during ongoing energy transfer, which is executed on a continuous basis during the energy transfer.
