1. A photovoltaic energy system with wireless energy transfer, the system comprising:

  • a photovoltaic module generating variable electrical power, wherein the variable electrical power generated by the photovoltaic module varies due to changes in solar irradiance onto the photovoltaic module; and

    a wireless energy source, connected to the photovoltaic module and powered by the electrical power generated by the photovoltaic module, the wireless energy source comprisinga switching amplifier,an impedance matching network coupled with the switching amplifier,a source resonator coupled with the impedance matching network and generating an oscillating magnetic field, anda maximum power point tracker circuit configured to modify, responsive to detection of changes in the variable electrical power generated by the photovoltaic module,an input resistance of the switching amplifier, which represents a load resistance presented to the photovoltaic module by the wireless energy source, to adjust power extraction from the photovoltaic module proportionally to the variable electrical power generated by the photovoltaic module, thereby maximizing the power extraction from the photovoltaic module, andan output AC impedance of the switched amplifier to a value that matches an impedance of the impedance matching network to maximize power of the generated oscillating magnetic field.
