1. A system for wireless energy distribution over an area, the system comprising:

  • a source resonator coupled to an energy source and generating an oscillating magnetic field with a driving frequency;

    a repeater resonator positioned in the area and in proximity to the source resonator, and the repeater resonator having a resonant frequency; and

    at least two other repeater resonators positioned in the area, each of the at least two other repeater resonators positioned in proximity to at least one other repeater resonator, and each of the at least two other repeater resonators having a resonant frequency;

    wherein the source resonator is configured to wirelessly transfer power through the repeater resonators in the area; and

    wherein the system is configured to detune the resonant frequency of at least one of the repeater resonators from the driving frequency of the source resonator to adjust a power distribution in the area.
