1. A replaceable sensor port for use with an analyte meter, comprising:

  • a housing comprising a top portion and a bottom portion, wherein the top portion and bottom portion are joined to form a body and a protruding member of the housing;

    an entry slot formed by the top and bottom portions to receive an analyte sensor and comprising a first edge having an internal beveled face to prevent ingress of external contaminants through the entry slot when an analyte sensor is received within the entry slot, and a second edge without an internal beveled face, wherein the second edge is in opposite and facing configuration with the first edge;

    an electrical interface disposed within an internal opening in the body of the housing, wherein the electrical interface is electrically coupled to an analyte sensor when the sensor is received within the entry slot;

    a first sealing member extending around the protruding member and positioned wholly between the entry slot and the body of the housing, wherein the first sealing member provides a seal between the sensor port and an analyte meter into which the sensor port is integrated when the sensor port is coupled to the analyte meter; and

    a plurality of electrical contacts extending from an exterior surface of the housing to electrically couple with the analyte meter.
