1. A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:

  • (a) a cyclone chamber having a first end having a first end wall, a second end having a second end wall, an air inlet, an air outlet and a sidewall;

    (b) an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including a suction motor and the cyclone chamber;

    (c) a dirt collection chamber in communication with a dirt outlet of the cyclone chamber; and

    ,(d) a pre-motor filter positioned in the air flow path downstream from the cyclone chamber and a pre-motor filter dirt chamber, wherein the pre-motor filter dirt chamber is removable from the surface cleaning apparatus, and wherein the pre-motor filter dirt chamber is openable concurrently with the dirt collection chamber.
