1. Display apparatus having an array of rows and columns of pixels with reduced susceptibility to electro-magnetic interference, comprising:

  • a flat-panel display formed on a substrate having conductors or active electronic components located between the pixels in the array of pixels; and

    a ground mesh located in proximity to the display, the ground mesh including a plurality of electrically connected ground lines located only between the pixels and parallel to the rows or columns of the pixels in the array, so that electro-magnetic radiation emitted or received by the conductors or active electronic components of the display is reduced;

    wherein the pixels are separated by inter-pixel gaps in at least one dimension and the ground lines are located in the inter-pixel gaps;

    wherein the pixels are arranged in rows and columns, the rows of pixels separated by row inter-pixel gaps, the columns of pixels separated by column inter-pixel gaps, and the ground lines are located only in the row inter-pixel gaps, only in the column inter-pixel gaps, or only in both the row inter-pixel gaps and the column inter-pixel gaps; and

    wherein the ground lines in the row inter-pixel gaps have a different width than the ground lines in the column inter-pixel gaps.
