1. A visualization platform for enhancing visual control to perform a visually directed eye procedure on a target object under low ambient visible light, said visualization platform comprising:

  • at least one high resolution photosensor configured to;

    (a) acquire a plurality of optical views corresponding to at least one left view and at least one right view of a stereoscopic image of said target object in at least one wavelength outside of the wavelengths of visible light between about 700 nanometers and about 1400 nanometers;

    (b) convert at least a portion of the plurality of the optical views corresponding to the at least one wavelength outside of the wavelengths of visible light into at least one real-time high resolution video signal; and

    (c) transmit the at least one real-time high resolution video signal;

    a processor configured to process the at least one real-time high resolution video signal so that the at least one wavelength outside of the wavelengths of visible light is converted into at least one wavelength of visible light; and

    at least one high resolution video display receiving the at least one processed real-time high resolution video signal, wherein the portion of the plurality of the optical views corresponding to the at least one wavelength outside of the wavelengths of visible light is displayed in the at least one wavelength of visible light,wherein the target object includes an eye comprising a pupil at a natural maximum pupillary diameter, andwherein the at least one high resolution photosensor performs (a) to (c) after an intensity of the low ambient visible light is low enough such that the pupil of the eye does not constrict substantially from the natural maximum pupillary diameter.
