1. An electric motor for an elevator drive comprising:
- an internal rotor rotatable inside a stator;
a motor housing disposed around the electric motor;
a number of motor windings which are connected to at least one terminal;
first and second ribs arranged on the motor housing such that the first and second ribs form a space between the first and second ribs as a type of cable duct on the motor housing;
the at least one terminal is arranged in the space between the first and second ribs; and
the motor windings are passed out of the motor housing and laid between the ribs.
