Patient support apparatus having alert light
First Claim
1. A patient support apparatus comprisinga bed frame, control circuitry carried by the bed frame, the control circuitry receiving information about a plurality of conditions of the patient support apparatus from sensors of different types that measure different characteristics of the patient support apparatus, anda light coupled to the bed frame and coupled to the control circuitry, the light being illuminated a first color in response to each condition of the plurality of conditions indicating that the patient support apparatus is operating properly and the light being illuminated a second color, different than the first color, in response to the control circuitry detecting an alert condition in any of the plurality of conditions, anda graphical display coupled to the bed frame and situated generally vertically above the light.

Abstract
A patient support apparatus includes a bed frame having a head end and a foot end and control circuitry carried by the bed frame. The control circuitry receives information about conditions of the patient support apparatus. A light is coupled to the bed frame adjacent the foot end and is coupled to the control circuitry. The light is in a first state when the patient support apparatus is operating normally and the light is in a second state when the control circuitry detects an alert condition.
