1. A method of processing signals, the method comprising:

  • in a transmitting device that comprises a plurality of distributed transceivers, each distributed transceiver of the transmitting device comprising an antenna array comprising a plurality of antennas, and a baseband processor;

    generating a plurality of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) coded data streams at baseband by said baseband processor for transmission to a receiving device that comprises a plurality of distributed transceivers, each distributed transceiver of the receiving device comprising an antenna array comprising a plurality of antennas;

    selecting antenna patterns for the antenna arrays of the transceivers of the transmitting device and the antenna arrays of the transceivers of the receiving device to perform beamforming between the antenna arrays of the transceivers of the transmitting and receiving devices; and

    concurrently transmitting each of the plurality of MIMO coded streams in a same carrier frequency from the transmitting device to the receiving device by performing beamforming between the antenna arrays of the plurality of transceivers of the transmitting and receiving devices utilizing the selected antenna patterns for the antenna arrays of the plurality of transceivers of the transmitting and receiving devices.
