Abstract

A card registry system is configured to automatically identify financial card information in one or more credit files associated with a consumer and populate a card registry account of the consumer with the identified financial card information. Once the financial card information has been obtained from the credit file(s), the card registry system may transmit cancellation and/or reissuance requests to the respective card issuers in the instance that one or more cards are compromised, so that the financial cards may be easily and efficiently cancelled and/or reissued at the request of the consumer.

Claims

1. A computerized method comprising:

determining, by a computing system having one or more computer processors, respective debit account information for each of a plurality of debit cards issued to a consumer;

transmitting a user interface with the respective debit card information for at least some of the plurality of debit cards, the user interface including controls configured to receive indications of particular debit cards to one or more of cancel and reissue;

receiving input from the consumer via the user interface to cancel and reissue a first debit card of the plurality of debit cards;

initiating, by the computing system, cancellation and reissuance of the first debit card;

receiving input from the consumer via the user interface to cancel and not reissue a second debit card of the plurality of debit cards; and

initiating, by the computing system, cancellation, without initiating reissuance, of the debit card.

2. The computerized method of claim 1, further comprising:

accessing a debit reporting service to determine debit account information for one or more of the plurality of debit cards issued to the consumer.

3. The computerized method of claim 1, wherein the debit card information of the first debit card comprises at least one of a file transfer protocol address, an internet protocol address, and an email address associated with a first issuer of the first debit card.

4. The computerized method of claim 3, wherein the cancellation is performed using at least one of the file transfer protocol address, the internet protocol address, or the email address associated with the first issuer.

5. The computerized method of claim 1, further comprising communicating, by the computing system, to a computing device of the consumer a status of cancellation and reissuance of the first debit card and the second debit card, and a status of reissuance of the first debit card.

6. The computerized method of claim 5, wherein the status is communicated to the computing device of the consumer via a second user interface, an e-mail, a text message, or a voicemail.

7. The computerized method of claim 5, wherein the status is communicated to the computing device of the consumer on a periodic basis.

8. The computerized method of claim 1, further comprising:

providing, for at least one of the first debit card and the second debit card, a guarantee of automatic reimbursement to the consumer for at least some respective unauthorized transactions charged to the respective debit cards, wherein reimbursement for the respective unauthorized transactions is not covered by the respective issuer.

9. The computerized method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining an unauthorized transaction charged to the first debit card, wherein reimbursement for the unauthorized transaction is not covered by the first issuer; and

reimbursing the consumer for the unauthorized transaction.

10. A computer system for identifying debit cards associated with a consumer and initiating cancellation of selected debit cards, the system comprising:

one or more computing devices configured to execute instructions, wherein the instructions when executed cause the computing system to;

determine respective debit card information for each of a plurality of debit cards issued to a consumer;

provide, to the consumer, a user interface for managing the plurality of debit cards, wherein the user interface includes a first one or more controls configured to receive input from the consumer indicating a request to cancel and reissue respective debit cards of the plurality of debit cards and a second one or more controls configured to receive input from the consumer indicating a request to cancel and not reissue respective debit cards of the plurality of debit cards;

receive, from the consumer, input via the user interface to cancel and not reissue at least one debit card of the plurality of debit cards; and

initiate cancellation of the at least one debit card without initiating reissuance of the at least one of debit card.

11. The computing system of claim 10, wherein the instructions when executed cause the computing system to communicate, to a remote computing device of the consumer, a status of cancellation and reissuance of the at least one debit card.

12. The computing system of claim 11, wherein the status is communicated to the remote computing device of the consumer via a second user interface, an e-mail, a text message, or a voicemail.

13. The computing system of claim 11, wherein the status is communicated to the remote computing device of the consumer on a periodic basis.

14. The computing system of claim 10, wherein the instructions when executed cause the computing system to:

activate, for the at least one debit card, a guarantee of automatic reimbursement to the consumer for at least some respective unauthorized transactions charged to the at least one debit card, wherein reimbursement for the respective unauthorized transactions is not covered by an issuer of the at least one debit card.

15. The computing system of claim 14, wherein the instructions when executed cause the computing system to:

determine an unauthorized transaction charged to the at least one debit card, wherein the reimbursement for unauthorized transaction is not covered by the issuer; and

reimburse the consumer for the unauthorized transaction.

16. Non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more computer systems, cause the one or more computer systems to perform operations comprising:

determining debit account information for at least one debit card issued to a consumer, wherein the debit account information is accessed from a debit reporting service;

transmitting a user interface with the debit account information for the at least one debit card, wherein the user interface includes controls configured to receive input from the consumer indicating a request to cancel and not reissue the at least one debit card;

receiving, via the user interface, input from the consumer to cancel and reissue the at least one debit card; and

initiating cancellation of the at least one debit card without initiating reissuance of the at least one of debit card.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16, the operations further comprising:

receiving input from the consumer about a reissue decision for the at least one debit card.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17, the operations further comprising:

initiating reissuance of the at least one debit card.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16, the operations further comprising:

transmitting a second user interface indicating a status of a cancellation request of the at least one debit card to a computing device of the consumer.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19, wherein the status of the cancellation request is communicated to the computing device of the consumer on a periodic basis.
