Abstract

A classification method and system for possible content alteration of a media work may include criteria regarding content that is feasible for alteration. Such criteria may be maintained in records that are accessible to an interested party. Some embodiments may include a record of primary authorization rights applicable to a possible content alteration. A further embodiment feature may include a record of secondary authorization rights applicable to substitute altered content incorporated in a derivative version. Various exemplary identifier markup schemes indicative of a location or category of an alterable media content component may be implemented for audio, visual, and audio/video alterable content.

Claims

1. A method for alteration in a video stream, comprising:

receiving an indication of at least one video stream;

determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image;

signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information;

based at least partially on the obtained preference information, modifying the at least one restricted image to obtain at least one modified image that includes at least one shared image attribute of the at least one restricted image, including at least;

selecting, from a database of replacement images known to include at least the at least one shared image attribute, an image of a human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, wherein the selected image includes the at least one shared image attribute; and

replacing the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image with the image of the human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image;

producing a modified at least one video stream that includes at least the at least one modified image; and

outputting the modified at least one video stream.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

indicating the location of the at least one restricted image of the at least one video stream.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving an indication of at least one video stream comprises:

receiving an indication of at least one video stream at a website, the at least one video stream associated with a user of the website.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving an indication of at least one video stream comprises:

receiving an indication of at least one video stream at a website, the at least one video stream associated with a user of the website, the at least one video stream obtained at least in part by an image capture device disposed within a mobile device associated with the user of the website.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving an indication of at least one video stream comprises:

receiving an indication of at least one video stream at a website, the at least one video stream associated with a user of the website, the at least one video stream obtained at least in part by an image capture device disposed within a mobile device associated with the user of the website, the at least one video stream uploaded by the mobile device to the website substantially contemporaneously with the at least one video stream being captured at the mobile device, the uploading based at least in part on at least some credentials of the user of the website associated with the user accessing the website from the mobile device.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information comprises:

signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream from a user of a website receiving the at least one video stream.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image of the within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information comprises:

providing at least one link associated with a request for preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image of the at least one video stream from a user of a website receiving the at least one video stream.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining, including at least analyzing at least some metadata associated with the at least one video stream, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein determining, including at least analyzing at least some metadata associated with the at least one video stream, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream comprises:

determining, including at least analyzing at least one closed-captioning stream associated with the at least one video stream, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining, using recognition logic accessible by a website, at least some objectionable content associated with at least one subject of the at least one video stream.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining, using recognition logic accessible by a website, at least one subject of the at least one video stream associated with at least one preference for anonymity.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining, using recognition logic accessible by a website, at least one subject of the at least one video stream associated with at least one preference for anonymity, the at least one preference for anonymity previously made known to at least one of the website or at least one entity associated with producing the at least one video stream.

13. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining, using recognition logic accessible by a website, at least one of nudity or obscenity associated with at least one subject of the at least one video stream.

14. The method of claim 1, wherein signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information comprises:

querying a database to obtain preference information associated with the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information.

15. The method of claim 1, wherein signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information comprises:

signaling a robotic user for preference information associated with the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information, the robotic user including at least one computational entity; and

receiving an indication of preference information, including at least receiving an indication of the preference information being sent in real-time by a robotic user.

16. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving at least one indication that at least one user associated with the at least one video stream assents to the at least one video stream being viewable to at least some users of a website; and

rendering the at least one video stream via the website.

17. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving at least one indication that at least one subject of the at least one video stream assents to the at least one video stream being viewable to at least some users of a website; and

rendering the at least one video stream via the website.

18. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving at least one indication that at least one of a user associated with the at least one video stream or at least one subject of the at least one video stream does not assent to the at least one video stream being viewable to at least some users of a website; and

preventing the at least one video stream from being rendered via the website.

19. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

responsive to one or more authorizations related to the at least one video stream, modifying the at least one video stream prior to rendering the at least one video stream, the modifying including at least addition of at least some clothes to at least a portion of the at least one video stream associated with nudity.

20. The method of claim 1, wherein replacing the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image with the image of the human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

replacing the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image with the image of the human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, the different identity including at least one of blurring or blocking at least a portion of the human subject of the at least one restricted image via the selecting the at least one of blurring or blocking from the database.

21. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

associating at least a portion of the at least one video stream with a user capture device used to capture the at least one video stream.

22. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

associating at least a portion of the at least one video stream with at least one user known to have captured the at least one video stream.

23. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

associating at least a portion of the at least one video stream with a setting content of the at least one restricted image.

24. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining an attribute of a concurrently-imaged object within the video stream.

25. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

performing image recognition analysis on a portion of the at least one video stream.

26. The method of claim 25, wherein performing image recognition analysis on a portion of the at least one video stream comprises:

detecting indecent or obscene material within the at least one restricted image.

27. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

performing facial recognition analysis on a portion of the at least one video stream.

28. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

analyzing metadata associated with the at least one restricted image.

29. The method of claim 28, wherein analyzing metadata associated with the at least one restricted image comprises:

analyzing at least one closed-captioning stream that is associated with the at least one video stream.

30. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

evaluating an attribute of the restricted image against image-restriction criteria.

31. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining at least one user preference associated with the restricted image.

32. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining a preference of a user who captured the at least one video stream.

33. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining a preference of a producer of the at least one restricted image.

34. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining at least one restricted image within at least one still picture.

35. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

determining at least one restricted image within at least one still image within the at least one video stream.

36. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

receiving the at least one video stream at an image capture device.

37. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

receiving the at least one video stream at a print device.

38. The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using at least one processing device, at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image comprises:

receiving the at least one video stream at a central collection facility for collecting media assets.

The method of claim 1, wherein selecting, from a database of replacement images known to include the at least one shared image attribute, an image of a human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, wherein the selected image includes the at least one shared image attribute comprises:

selecting, from a database of replacement images known to include the at least one shared image attribute, an image of a human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, the different identity including at least one or blurring or blocking at least a portion of the human subject of the at least one restricted image.

40. A computer program product, comprising:

at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium including at least one or more instructions which, when executed on at least one processing device, cause the at least one processing device to at least;

receive an indication of at least one video stream;

determine at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image;

signal to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information;

based at least partially on the obtained preference information, modify the at least one restricted image to obtain at least one modified image that includes at least one shared image attribute of the at least one restricted image, including at least;

selecting, from a database of replacement images known to include at least the at least one shared image attribute, an image of a human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, wherein the selected image includes the at least one shared image attribute; and

replacing the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image with the image of the human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image;

produce a modified at least one video stream that includes at least the at least one modified image; and

output the modified at least one video stream.

41. A computer program product, comprising:

a non-transitory computer usable medium having computer readable program code means embodied in said medium, said computer readable program code means in said medium comprising;

computer readable program code means for receiving an indication of at least one video stream;

computer readable program code means for determining at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream, including at least determining identity information identifying a human subject of the at least one restricted image;

computer readable program code means for signaling to obtain preference information of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image within the at least one video stream based at least partially on the identity information;

computer readable program code means for, based at least partially on the obtained preference information, modifying the at least one restricted image to obtain at least one modified image that includes at least one shared image attribute of the at least one restricted image, including at least;

computer readable program code means for selecting, from a database of replacement images known to include at least the at least one shared image attribute, an image of a human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image, wherein the selected image includes the at least one shared image attribute; and

computer readable program code means for replacing the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image with the image of the human subject having a different identity than that of the identified human subject of the at least one restricted image;

computer readable program code means for producing a modified at least one video stream that includes at least the at least one modified image; and

computer readable program code means for outputting the modified at least one video stream.
