1. A method for operating an electronic device in a wireless network, the method comprising:

  • providing a first plurality of transceivers by which the electronic device sends and receives data over the wireless network, wherein each of the first plurality of transceivers is configured to perform a different transaction from among a first plurality of transactions;

    associating a rules identifier to the electronic device;

    positioning the electronic device within a communication range of at least one of a second plurality of transceivers that is independent of the first plurality of transceivers, wherein each of the second plurality of transceivers is configured to perform at least one transaction from among the first plurality of transactions;

    associating the rules identifier to the at least one of the second plurality of transceivers; and

    exchanging data between the electronic device and the at least one of the second plurality of transceivers according to the at least one transaction, the exchanged data including the rules identifier, wherein the exchanging comprises;

    receiving, by the electronic device, a set of rules, wherein at least a portion of the set of rules includes a subset of rules specified by the rules identifier, wherein the subset of rules includes an exchange rule that controls the exchanging for the at least one transaction;

    storing the set of rules on the electronic device;

    enforcing the exchange rule by the electronic device; and

    enforcing the exchange rule by the at least one of the second plurality of transceivers.
