1. A method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent display device comprising:

  • preparing a rear substrate having an organic electroluminescent portion;

    coating a mixture comprising polymer, silicate, and solvent on an internal surface of a front substrate;

    aging the mixture after coating;

    curing the mixture so that the polymer is burnt, such that the mixture is converted into a porous silica layer;

    coating a sealant on the porous silica layer and on a portion outside an organic electroluminescent portion disposed on at least one of the rear substrate and the front substrate;

    assembling the rear substrate and the front substrate, thereby forming a panel having an organic electroluminescent display device,wherein the porous silica layer covers the entire internal surface of the front substrate after assembling the front and rear substrates is completed.
