1. A transmit/receive switch, comprising:

  • a transmit (TX) port that belongs to a chip, wherein the TX port is for coupling to a radio frequency (RF) transmit signal provided from a power amplifier of the chip;

    a receive (RX) port that belongs to the chip, wherein the RX port is for outputting to a low noise amplifier of the chip an RF receive signal ;

    an antenna port that belongs to the chip for coupling to an antenna that is external to the chip;

    an inductance that is coupled in series with said antenna port and said RX port;

    wherein the inductance comprises a wire bond that is connected to a dummy pad of the chip;

    wherein the wire bond has a wire bond inductance that is utilized by the transmit/receive switch when operating in a transmit mode and when operating in a receive mode; and

    a series combination of capacitance and a field effect transistor (FET) switch coupled in parallel across said inductance, wherein said FET switch having source, drain and gate terminals, the gate terminal operative to receive a control signal for controlling said FET switch.
